John "Jack" Barberio

Being the youngest of six siblings, there was lots of music in our house during the fifties and sixties. In high school I joined a rock band playing Motown, Beatles, Stones and the hits of the day. I continued to play in bands until the late 70’s when my wife and I moved to Colorado. Raising children and pursuing a career put playing music on a 35 year hold. I always thought that one day I would get back to it, but as each year passed the likelihood seemed less and less.
However, in 2014 I ran into Mark Goldrich at a gathering of old friends and he invited me to join the music club that he held in his garage. I jumped at the chance. I had a lot of rust to shake off, but before long we were playing gigs and having a blast. I am so grateful for this opportunity to play music with friends and for our community.
Thanks, Mark.
